This winkingly divey diner makes customers do the ordering, but the food delivered by the perfectly competent waitstaff makes up for the inconvenience. The menu features well-executed spins on classic American fare including a robust breakfast selection that makes the Bad Waitress a perfect brunch or even pre-work spot to luxuriate in a big start to the day ahead. Retro movie posters and other vintage décor also make this a prime bring-the-kids (or bring-the-out-of-towners) location.
A modern-day diner that serves breakfast all day - three-egg omelets, scrambles and pancakes - plus panini, soups and salads at lunch and dinner. (Rick Nelson, 9/29/2005)
