American diner fare sprinkled with Korean accents.
Another East Side success story is this remake of neighborhood stalwart Serlin’s Cafe. Buddies Charles Cook and Eddie Wu teamed up to offer their take on the classic American diner, taking care with basics such as buttermilk pancakes, sirloin-and-eggs, BLTs and beer-battered walleye sandwiches but also veering into occasional Korean flavors. Dessert means skillfully crafted pies or top-shelf ice cream, imported all the way from the good people at Sweet Science in Minneapolis.
