Minnesota Orchestra

In an effort to develop new audiences for orchestral music, Minnesota Orchestra has taken on diverse repertoire, including playing live music to accompany films. They are aiming for a younger demographic this week, with “Pixar in Concert.” Since the premiere of “Toy Story” in 1995, Pixar Films has created 14 animated features, including “Finding Nemo,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “Ratatouille” and “Up.” This multimedia program, featuring music from each of the films, is performed live as film clips are shown on a large screen. Sarah Hicks, principal conductor of the “Live at Orchestra Hall” series, leads the concert. William Randall Beard
