Barbara Cohen

Ever wonder what happened to multitalented Minnesota singer-songwriter Barbara Cohen, the seductive siren in the 1990s trip-hoppy Brother Sun Sister Moon and, before that, the eclectic Little Lizard and Farm Accident? She moved to Los Angeles, where she’s been composing soundtracks for TV and movies for eight years. Among her credits are the 2009 Emmy-nominated PBS documentary “The Judge and the General,” the HBO Cuban feature “Habana Eva” and Al Jazeera America’s 2013 documentary “Words of Witness.” Working on her first solo album since 2004’s “California,” Cohen will perform a rare hometown gig featuring new material, with the help of guitarist Jeremy Ylivisaker and vocalist Wendy Lewis.
