Dirt Road Ramblers with Kevin Bowe & the Okemah Prophets

With a true Southerner for a leader in the form of Florida-reared singer/guitarist Joe Hysell, who sounds like Jerry Jeff Walker before his wife straightened him up, the Dirt Road Ramblers shouldn’t have to ramble far to find Twin Cities fans yearning for a good roadhouse-flavored country band. The band’s debut album, “The Legend of Charlie White,” was produced by local vet Kevin Bowe and ranges from the Jerry Lee Lewis-style twang-n-boogie opener “Now More Than Ever” to the tear-stained ballad “All That We Lost.” Bowe’s Okemah Prophets open the release party.
