Kill Kancer Benefit

Eight years after Soul Asylum bassist Karl Mueller died of complications from throat cancer, local musicians of many ilks are still lining up to honor his memory via Kill Kancer, an organization set up by his widow Mary Beth to battle cancer before it strikes. The latest benefit concert will feature Mueller’s bandmate Dave Pirner, playing a special a video-enhanced solo set just for the occasion, along with West Bank music hero Willie Murphy, Communist Daughter, 4onthefloor leader Gabe Douglas’ Silverback Colony, Taj Raj and some surprise guests.
